WRECK OF THE LIZZIE BELL.

The Lizzie Bell arrived at Dunedin on May 29th from Glasgow after a stormy passage and a sensational escape of being lost on the Ninety-Mile .Beach. The vessel was very much strained, and her rigging damaged. Repairs were effected before leaving for Wellington.

Prior to taking her departure the crew who came from Glasgow, excepting the first and second officers and the apprentices, carpenter and Cook, were replaced by others.

Captain Rees is unmarried, and belongs to Liverpool, where the chief officer also came from.

Mr. Porter, one of the owners of the vessel, was in New Zealand a few months ago.
