Health Officer.
Wellington, This Day. Dr Ogston, of Dunedin, has been appointed health officer for Otago and Soutnland under the Public Health Act of last session. /
Shops’ and Offices’ Bi.'l. The Labor Bills’ Committee of the Legislative Council have struck out from the Shops’ and Offices’ Bill the clause relating to banking and mercantile institutions, which caused such a storm of protest from all parts of the colony.
