The Title Bill was read a second time. In the House of Lords, Lord Roseherry suggested that the words of “ All Britain beyond the seas King ’’ be added. Lord Salisbury said that it was desirable to receive the written views of the colonies before a final decision. The Nationalists strenuously decided to oppose the Bill. Heat Wave Disappearing. Washington, July 30. The Weather Bureau has announced that the drought and heat in the corn belt has broken up. Italian Royalties. Rome. July 30. The King, accompanied by his wife and mother, visited and prayed at the late King Humbert’s tomb at the Pantheon. Later, a national procession three miles long, including all classes, visited the tomb, and enormous crowds of sympathisers lined the streets. . Sigiior Crispi from his dying bed dictated a telegram of condolence to the King. Two Nationalists Suspended. .London, July 30. In the debate on the Agricultural Rates Bill the Nationalists were noisily obstructive, Wm Redmond greeting the Speaker’s call with persistent shouts of “ police.” Mr Redmond and Mr O’Brien were subsequently named and suspended. Presentation of Medals. The King and Queen at Marlborough House presented medals to 500 South African and Ashanti soldiers and 109 nurses. Their Majesties conversed with two colonial nurses and several maimed Australian soldiers, who cheered. The reeipents included the Duke of Norfolk and Winston Churchill, whilst amongst the colonial contingent was Lieut A. R. J. Dewar, a New Zealander.
