[OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Things are beginning to look a bit brisk up here. There are several new buildings going up, and the County Council is forming a footpath from the township to the railway station. Mr Kennedy, the contractor, is making good progress with the work. I hear th re is to be a concert and ball on or about the 23rd August, which promises to be a grea*. success. It is to bo in aid of the Hospital. The contractors for the Fopararoad are making good progress, and all bids fair to a return t) prosperity.
