Six first offenders for drunkenness wore convicted and fined ss.
P. J. Carman (Inspector of Machinery) v. New River Gold Dredging Company, v. J. Clark, v. Grey River Gold Dredging Company, v. C. Johnston, v. Gregg and Wise (Kotuku), v. P. Anderson, v. J. Grimmond, (Ross,) v. W. Moore (Ross), v. Lincoln Bros. Toomoy and Peebles (Moana), v. J. Lincoln (Moana). Breaches of the Inspection of Machinery Act, 1900. Mr Hannan for Plaintiff and Mr Wake appeared in most cases for defendants. In each case a fine of 10s was imposed with costs.
J. Dinnan v. P. Millington. Claim for £2 0s 81, for goods supplied. Judgment by default.
Same v. H. Attwocd. Claim for £3 0s 6d for goods supplied. Judgment by default.
