O’Brien leaves for Brisbane en route for England. He decline to make any statement in regard to Fiji affairs.
Troop-Ship Quarantined.
Adelaide, July 29. The Britannic troopship has been quarantined. She has 80 cases of measles aboard.
Snow in South Australia.
A unique experience in this state in the shape of the first known fall of snow throughout the country. There is a slight fall in the city. Through SO Miles of Snow.
Melbourne, July 29. The express ploughed through fifty miles of snow covered country.
Narrow Escape of a Steamer. Albany, July 29. Collier Wollyama had a perilous ex- 'i perience She lost her propeller on the voyage to Newcastle, and drifted about several days getting in close proximity to Pollock Reef. The crew were prepared to leave when the Marloo came in sight and towed her to Albany.
