The Council of the Christian Endeavor Union res >lml to-day upon the employment of ft salaried travelling secretarry, the appoint to be made after ascertaining ■what each society is prepared to contribute towards tee cost.
A resolution was passed affirming that “all well ” conducted by the Christian Endeavor Societies afforded ample opportunity for Bible study, but at the same time depreciating any methods likely to obscure the original purposes of the institution namely to provide young converts with some sphere of native work in the Church. It was decided that the next convention be held between November 1903 and April 1904, and in the event of the visit of Dr Clark, the executive have power to arrange for a special convention.
