GREYMOUTH LIVE STOCK REPORT.

Messrs G W Moss and Co report their sale at Preston Yards as follows: —

Tho entry consisted of 70 prime bullocks, 480 prime wethers ex-ship. 175 sheep from Nelson district. All lines were cleared and the following prices realised: Fat Cattle —On account of Mr W Weybourne, 20 prime bullocks from £lO 2s fid to £7 17s fid; on account of Mr John M‘Gregor, 22 prime bullocks from £lO 5s to 1 £7 10s.

Fat Sheep—On account of Mr John M'Gregor, 80 prime wethers at 18s fid; on account of Mr Cams, 175 crossbreds at 12s 9d to 13s fid. These sheep had travelled from Nelson district and were not suitable for the butchers, being practically forward stores. Store Cattle—lo heifers at £2 2s fid to £4 15s.

Mark Sprot and Co. report their sale at Preston Eoad sale yards yesterday. The entry of beef consisted of 60 North Island cattle of good -quality. About 450 fat sheep, and 100 stores were yarded. There was a good attendance of buyers, and values were on a par with late ruling rates.

We sold on account of Messrs Abraham and Williams 30 bullocks from £lO 5s to £9 2s fid; 60 wethers at 21s ; 30 ewes at 18s.
