At the periodical sales of sheep skins prices were irregular. 2,510 were offered and 2,350 sold at par to farthing decline. Hemp—Fair Wellington April and June shipment, £25 10s. Tin—Spot, quoted at £l3l ; threemonths, £ll6 10s. Crossbred wethers and maiden ewes— Canterbury, 3Jd; f unedin and Southland, 3 o-16d; North Island is unchanged. | Lamb —Prime Canterbury, s£d ; fair average, including Dunedin, Southland, Wellington and Secondary Canterbury, 4Jd. River Plate is unchanged. New Zealand beef, 180 to 220 lbs, fair average quality, ox fores, 2d ; ox hinds is unchanged. Wool sales—There was a large catalogue and brisk sales. Prices are firm. Moa Flat 6fd. To date of present series 225,376 hales were catalogued and 210,019 sold.
