C. SMITH'S GREAT WINTER SALE.
| Bargains is thn order of the day and an 1 inset in the Star last week informs its readers that C. Smith, the cash draper, is holdiLg his usual winter clearing sale, having resolved to sacrifice the whole of his stock in order to make room for his spring consignments, which are expected by the next sceamer, large purchasos having been made in tho English markets by the firm. In evory department there are great reductions, some of tho articles being almost given away, and visitors are only requested to view the stock and note the prices. The firm has also purchased the largo stock of boots held by Lock and Co., of Nelson, the make of Miller and Co., and have determined to dispose of them at a large discount on the cost price. Intending buyers are requested to attend early as the best bargains are bound to go first.
