THE RUSSELL BIGAMY CASE.
Sentenced to Three Months' Imprisonment. (bt electric telegraph.) [pee peesß association. —coi'ybight.] London, July 18. The trial of Earl Eussell was a great fuuetion. It was held in the 'Royal Gallery at Westminster. The Lords appeared in their robes with eleven judges. There was a number of absentees including the foremost members of the Government, Opposition and Bishops. Accused pleaded guilty. He stated he had consulted the best lawyers in America in regard to the validity of his action.
He was sentenced to three months' imprisonment to be treated as a first-class misdemeanant.
