Tenders were opened to-day by the Harbor Board for the consolidated 5 pfir cent debentures for *£3700 which became available inf June, by drawing the sinking fund. found this morning lying in the water be- • tween the railway and road bridges at Waitangi; n*ar Clive. The body was discovered by Mr Taylor, road overseer, and had apparently been in the water only a day or two. At present the police have no clue as to the identity of deceased.

The body is that of a man seemingly about 35 years of age, height five foot six or seven inches, of fair complexion, dark brown hair, beard clipped to a point, a small mole on the left cheek, dressed in dark tweed coat and vest, blue serge trousers,, soft J)r Jim hat, black bow tie, tennis shirt, flannel under shirt, and pants and lace-up boots. A man named Wm Hague saw the deceased on the 13th inst on the main road at Olive.
