Departure of British Troops countermanded.
Hong Kong, July 17.
The Chiness hare consented to the Italian Legation at Pekin retaining the Temple of Ancestors. The Chinese have also agreed to the construction of a glacis separating the Legations from the Chinese city, and neither Europeans nor Chinese are to build thereon.
London, July 17.
Eeuter states that the departure of the Third Bombay Cavalry from Tientsin was countermanded, while the strength of the British remaining there will be increased by 1000. The cause is unknown.
