A WELL-MERITED PRESENTATION.
(PER PRESS ASSOCIATION)
Wellington, This Day.
The members of the Fifth Contingent presented Surgeon-Capt Thomas with a cutlery and plate cabinet and a silver spirit stand, and the officers gave him a marble clock and a silver cigar case. The gifts were meant as an acknowledgement of his services in South Africa, especially in his fight with fever at Beira.
