GOLD DREDGING.
The Perry’s Reward dredge cleaned up on Saturday getting a little gold, the actual amount not being definitely given. It started yesterday morning working three shifts a day so that by the end of the week a return should be given. The Cornwall (late Foley’s Creek) Gold Dredging Company have finished removing the Brandy Jack’s plant to their new claim near Marsden. The pontoons are almost finished and will be launched about the end of the week. The machinery is now being carted. Good progress is being made with the erection of machinery on the Marsden No l|dredge.
Work in connection with the erection of machinery on Marsdon No. 3 dredge, is progressing favorably. She is expected to have a trial run within a fortnight.
The first of the lagoon dredges—North Beach-north of Greymouth, should have a trial run this week. The machinery and housing are completed and the lables are nearly finished.
