QUARTZ MINING MONTHLY REPORTS.

The mine manager for the under-men-tioned quartz mines reports is follows for the month of June : WEALTH OF NATIONS. During the month 90S tons of quartz were crushed, yielding 2870zs ldwt, valued at £llBO 9s lOd. 7 tons of Concentrates were produced and 614 tons of coarse sands were cyanided, the latter yielding Bullion to the value of £637 lO.s 2d. S toping was carried on to No. 3,4, 5, and 6 levels. No 6 level was advanced 42 feot during the month. No. 5 raised sft. Golden Fleece. During the month stoping was carried on levels Nos 8. 9. and 10. and developement work on Levels No 6. North and South. No 6. level south has been retimbered and regarded for 84ft,, and the "Perseverances" Tunnel cleaned out for a distance of 37ft. The contractors have now sunk the shaft a total distance of 45 feet. The mill crushed 1205 tons of quartz producing 6240zs 4dwts 12grs bullion : valued at £2460 9s lCd, 845 tons were cyanided, yielding bullion to value of £437 Oj Id. Total development work amounts to 10 tons. PaOGEESS.

Stoping was carried on in a general manner throughout the mine from No 2 to No 9 level, and development work on Levels Nos. 3,8, and 9. The total quantity of rock mined was 4409 tons, and 4459 tons transported to battery and crushed, yielding 15520zs 7dwts 21grs of .gold, valued at £6424 3s. 88 12 tons of Concentrates were Chlorinated, yielding gold to value of £IO6B 17s Id. 1391 tons of accumulated tailings were elevated and concentrated, yielding 5 tons of Concentrates and bullion to value of of £444 2s 6d. The development work in the mine amounted to 224 ft of driving and cross-cutting, and 6ft of sinking.
