CARTER'S SEEDS.

The firm that stands highest in public estimation in Great Britain, and so far as that goes throughout the world, for excellence in its seeds is that of Jame> Carter and Co., the well-known nurserymen and of London. From a comparatively small commencemen 1 this firm has risen to its present higli position, till the name of James Carter has become synonomous with excellence, and a guarantee that all samples beariu;. the firm's impress are true to name and have been thoroughly tested and fret from weeds. Since the firm of W. Holdei and Son have been in business in Grey mouth, it has been the aim of Mr Holder senr., especially to earn a name for th excellence of seeds supplied by his firm, and he resolved, knowing from his great experience in the seed market the dis appointment and loss resulting fron. inferior seeds, to have none but the besi in his establishment, and accordingly entered into negotiations with the firm o! Carter and Co. for an annual supply o< seeds suitable for the New Zealand market. His foresight was justified, and last season the whole of his consignment was disposed of, and anxious enquiries have been made regarding the new supply. These have now arrived direct from England, and can bo obtained at the firm's store in Mawhera Quay.
