THE CHINESE BONE NUISANCE.
In connection with the disinterment of the bones of deceased Chinese, and the alleged nuisance thereby occasioned, his Worship the Mayor sent the following telegram to the Premier •
“ Accept thanks of the citizens of Greymouth and myself for prompt action taken in redressing the nuisance that was likely to be caused by disinterment of the Chinese. Everything has now been satisfactorily settled. Kind regards.” A similar telegram was sent to the Colonial Secretary.
The following telegram was also sent to the Hon J. Kerr, M.L.0., and A. R. Guinness, M.H.R.:
“ Accept thanks of citizens and myself for your kind services re Chinese disinterment question. Everything has now boon satisfactorily settled. Kind rtguds.”
