Fire Proof Asylum for the Blind.
Wellington, This Day,
Fifty-one members of the House of Representatives have signed a memonal to the Government requesting that a fire proof building be erected for the accommodation of the inmates of the blind asylum at Auckland. “ One of M'Guires.”
The “Jaynial” Felix of Hawera was inweighing against the eight hours bill, I hope” he remarked, “the House will it a short shift we shall see it no more.” (Uproarious laughter). Representation Amendment.
The Representation Amendment Act, introduced by Mr Ell, for the amending of section two of the Representation Act, 1889, by adding to sub-sections two thereof, a provisa that the proposed additions shall not be made in any of the following electorates - Christchurch, Dunedin, Wellington, Auckland, Oaversharn, Napier Lyttelton, Avon, Riccarton, Parnel Timaru and Invercargill, The National Ass.
“These Unions that you refer to are only the National Ass under another name.”—The Premier commenting upon Mr Thompson’s reference to the Farmers’ Unions.
