The Daily Mail advises Lord Stanley, Financial Secretary of the War Office, to secure the evidenco of Lieut Hear, of the Imperial Yeomanry, in regard to the alleged shooting at Blokfontein tendered to Lord Kitchener after the official contradiction of the shooting of British gunners. The Mail publishes letters! from members of tho Yeomanry confkming the shpoting of the wounded. In the House of Commons Lord Stanley replying to Lieut-Col Leo, member for Foroham, promised to enquire into the Daily Mail's statements in reference to the shooting of wounded at Vlakfontoin ; and, if tho statements were found to be false, the correspondent would be most severely dealt with.

Tho Herald's Washington correspondent states that Secretary Hay agrees with Sir A, Milner that anybody serving with the Boors as a belligerent lose 3 his nationality.
Secretary Hay is satisfied that the report of tho British ill-treatment of prisoners are unfounded.'
