CHINESE DISINTERMENT.
The following telegram was forwarded to the Colonial Secretary this morning in regard to the proposal to store the dead bodies of Chinese in. the building known as Weber's brewery:—"As consulting Health Officer to the Greymouth Borough Council, I must strongly object to the storage of a large number of Chinese bodies in the building known as Weber's brewery, and adjacent to a number of other buildings on the score of public health —there being in my opinion a real danger if the bodies are allowed to remain there for any length of time. I suggest that a special building should be erected in a place to be fixed by myself and the Council.—(signed) Chas. G. Mokice, P.R.CS."
