A quantity of buried provisions were found landed at a place in St Helena, where it is believed some prisoners intended to seize boats and put to sea. A general rising was feared in May, but extr j v'gilance frustrated the scheme. Fouche with 200 men is retreating toward the Drakenburg mountains.
