The election campaign which concludes to-morrow, has been characterised of more bitterness than any other election for years past. American Mail Service. Melbourne, July 2. The question of subsidies to American Mails, will come before the Federal Cabinet shortly. Sir J. Lync will urge the Federal Cabinet to grant the subsidy to the Vancouver service, and objects to any being given to the ’Frisco service owing, to trade restrictions.
