A Fierce Fight.

Details of the fight at Reitz on the 6th show that the British surprised a convoy. The Boers fled, hut when they saw the fewness of their captors, returned and charging with great determination, desperate fighting ensued, the Boers succeeding in re-capturing their convoy. Meanwhile, De Lisles' reinforcements arriving, the Boors lay under the wagons firing unflinching between the wheels, while some inspanned and drove off the wagons farthest from the British, who by splendid gallantly and pushing amongst the wheels, • traces and poles of the wagons, bayonetted the enemy wherever possible. De Larey himself took part in the firing, both of his neighboring fighters being killed. The fight ended in a series of hand to hand encounters and fierce melees.
