Luncheon was given to-day at Bellamy’s by the Ministry in honor of a number of soldiers who recently returned from South Africa and Charles Hudson, recently appointed manager of Tasmanian railways. The Premier presided and other members of the Ministry were present.
Suspected Suicide. DUNiDIN, Juno 21.
The body of a man was found in the Botanical Gardena m-day, with an empty glass by his side and a bottle containing liquid in his pocket. Examination showed that hia name was Carl Lc Doux, about 34 years, >He is believed to have come here from Hobart, and bad been staying at Wain’s Hotel, but was evidently short of money.
