A heavy run in the river has stopped all shipping movements. The Kennedy is due from north this afternoon and sails again at 6pm for north. The Chas Edward leaves Nelson via Motueka to-morrow and is due here On Friday sailing same day for Westport, Nelson, and Wanganui. The Haupiri leaves to-night or to morrow for Wellington direct. The Kini sails for Bluff and Dunedin to-morrow. The Herald left Onehunga yesterday for Groy direct, arriving to-morrow to load for Lyttelton. The Janet Nicoll is detained at Westport and cannot arrive before to-morrow sailing on Friday for Oamaru and Dunedin. The Mapourika leaves Wellington tomorrow via usual ports and arriving on Friday and sailing same day on return journey. The Wainui leaves Wellington on Friday for Wostport and Grey arriving and sailing from here on Sunday. The Kosamond leaves Lyttelton today and Oamaru and Timaru to-morrow for Wellington, Westport and Grey arriving oii Monday afternoon.
