A Boar Laager Surprised. Beoeived this day at 859 a.m. - London, June 17. Beuter's Durban correspondent Btates that Kitchener's Scouts and Bush Veldt Carbineers on May 13 surprised a laager at Pineaara . Biver capturing 40 prisoners, all the wagons and 7000 cattle. 2T "Boers were tilled and 86 wounded. 5 British were killed and 20 wounded. This intelligence is considered to be a confirmation of the engagement at Warmbaths cabled on May 6th. 4p A Hot Engagement. Beceived this day at 8.59 a. m. London, June 17. , Scobell and Gorringe forced Krutzinger's, FoDches, and Myburg's commandos across the borders into Kaffiraria. The commandos dispersed, broke back, and reunited. They crossed the railway line at Molteno on the 13th, all well clad; with several horses to each and plenty of ammunition. After Sladen's Mounteds had captured their convoy, Dewet sent help and a hot engagement followed. Elliot despatched D<? Lisle's Mounteds to Bladen's assistance, and the Boers were routed; those killed included Lieut John Mair, late of New South Walea mounted : Corporals Hamp, Barrow and six men of the South Australian Bushmen.
