A lady inspector of slaughter houses has been appointed by the parish council of Langley, near Slough. It is said that out of a total of 19,355,000 sheep in the colony, 10,341,000 are ewes. There are 14 knights in the Federal Parliament, also 24 lawyers, 10 miners, seven pastorahsts, six land and estate agents, five journalists, three farmers, two hatters; one engine-fitter, one gardener, one labourer, one bookseller, one compositor, one carpenter, one doctor, two’auctioneers, and one clergymen.
