AUCKLAND GOLD RETURNS.

Auckland, June 14. During the five weeks ending to-day the gold returns for the Auckland district have reached a total of £67,738. The returns for the first four-weekly part of the period, representing one month’s crushing operations by the companies concerned, amount in all to £61,743, in itself constituting a record for any monthly period in the history of the fields, and exceeding the former record (that of October, 1899) by £IB3O. The present total output is made up as follows Ohinemuri £54,244 0 0 Thames ... ... 6,055 3 10 Coromandel ... 7,439 9 2 During the month ending May 81, the New Zealand Crown Mines treated 2,896 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £5,995. * During the month ending May 31, the Waitekauri Gold Mining Company treated 2,806 tons of ore for a return of bullion valued at £4,668. The Kauri Freehold Gold Estates Coy’s total return for two months (April and May) is £1,290 from 840 tons treated.
