GOLD DREDGING

The Erickson’s Reward dredge washed up last Saturday 6oz of gold. This is satisfactory as the dredge touched bottom for a few hours only, beieg employed in .widening the dam. A press wire from Christchurch says:— An extraordinary meeting of the Greenstone Creek Gold Dredging Coy was held last night. A resolution re preference shares, carried on May 23rd, was confirmed. The Chairman of dirictors (Dr Jennings) gave an extensive resume of the Company’s position. The directors were empowered to elect a director. Gr. G. Parker resigned. A satisfactory report was received from the dredgemaster. The resident director informs us that he received a telegram this morning announcing that £2,000 bad been oversubscribed.
