(per press association.) Hawkes Bay J.C. Napier, June 8. At a meeting of the committee of the Hawkes Bay Jockey Club it was resolved to recommend to the Racing Conference certain alterations to the rules of racing
with respect to the minimum distance for hurdle races, the declaration of overweight, etc., and disqualification of apprentices for breach of agreement, &c. Captain Russell and the Hon. J. D. Ormond were appointed representatives to the ensuing conference.
