AN UP-TO-DATE MAIL DRAG.

Mr Yinsen has just turned out of his well-known coach factory in Tainui street a very handsome, strong, and complete mail drag built to the order of Mr William Brown, mail contractor for Grey-mouth-Maori Creek. The vehicle will run daily between town, Paroa, Marsden and Duuganvillc,' and will be found a very great improvement, so far as comfort is concerned, upon the coaches previously run on this road. The drag is built on the English principle with what is termed "fifth wheel under carriage," so as to enable it to turn in its own length aud do away with all heavy and cumbrous under gear. A feature is the special care that has been bestowed upon the passenger accommodation portion of the vehicle so as to make it comfortable and convenient to get into, i the seats beiDg rus ic form comfortable. The body and carriage framings are all made of the best English ash, the paneling being of bass wood and kauri. Instead i of the heavy framing as possessed by ordinary coaches is a light canopy, comfaetablo in fine weather, yet perfectly watertight in wet wenhcr. The front springs are elliptical with two grass-hopper springs behind. The wheels in order to stand the strain on the heavy roads are made of tho best iron bark-, mounted with patent mail axles. The under structure is vermillion, the body black, relieved with* black and white lines, and Boyal coat of arms. Taken altogether it is one of tho best conveyances built on the West Coast, and reflects great credit on the builder—Mr. Eobert Vinsen.
