& Cape to Cairo Expedition Proposed.

It is stated in Anglo-Egyptian official quarters that Sijfc Reginald Wingate's sudden return to TSgypt to resume his work as Sirdar of the Egyptian army will be followed by important developments. Sir R. Wingate saw several of his officers before leaving England, and these are prepared to go, at any moment, to the Soudan. It is not at all improbable that a force from South Africa may push through to join hands with the British forces in Egypt. This, of course, in a quite friendly spirit with those territories traversed. —Daily Chronicle.
