London, May 29, Two hundred Boers surrendered at Pa'ipye, and 42 wagonsful of men, women and children at Tub,
Viljoen with 409 men attacked Colonel Plumer’s convoy southwards of Bethel on Saturday. After a sharp engagement the enemy wore repulsed. Six Boers wore killed and 30 wounded. Kruitzinger is moving eastward.
The Town Guards at Tarkestad, Molteno, and at Queenstown have manned the trenches in readiness if attacked.
