THE ROYAL VISIT
[by ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.]
(per press association.)
Sydney, May 29. During the afternoon the Duke visited the Naval Home. To-night, he attended the Lieut-Governor’s dinner at Parliament House.
Tue city was again brilliantly illuminated and the streets densly crowded. About 2000 attended the Royal levee.
With a rest of a few minutes, during which His Highness 'tenderly felt his squeezed fingers and swung Ids arm as though to relieve the muscles, the Duke went through the tedious process of hand shaking. The presentation of addresses from the public bodies, to which the Duke read a general reply, followed, and the ceremony concluded with the investiture of the Lieut-Governor (Sir Fredk. Parley) as K.0.M.G., and knighting Sir Jas Graham, Mayor of Sydney.
