WALLSEND MINE AGITATION.
(To the Editor).
Sie, —It affords me pleasure to thank you for the full report of the meeting held in.' Brunner on Monday night re opening "Wallsend mine. "While pleased to observe so many names appended to the statement about the large supply of coal in the mine, I think it would be well to have more, for more than a score with actual knowledge could testify as others have done. In this case the evidence is good for both quantity and quality. I would also suggest that for the satisfaction of the Coal Commissioners and all others of a legal turn of mind, everyone signing his name should have his signature attested by a J.P. To carry this out would cause no inconvenience, for such olllcials are numerous'in Brunner. I do hope, sir, that all of us will take Mr Petrie’s advice and agitate like Trotans till our object is attained, I am, ete., Bush Sawyer.
