COOK AND GRAY’S COMPANIES, NO TOWN NO 2.

The fallowing letter concerning the above 0 nnpany appeared in a recent issue af the Orago Daily Times : —“ Silt, —In a letter signed by Mr llorbertE. Easton, which appeared in your issue of the 13th hist, that gentleman drew the attention of shareholders of The floss Day Dawn Company to the amounts owing to a director (Mr Cook) and his employers. I wonder what Mr Easton would have to say in regard to the management of the above Company, also promoted and lloated by Messrs Cook and Gray. The balanceshoot shows that on the 20th ult., JG3856 was owing. Of this sum a very largo proportion is due from Mr W. 11. Cook and the employers, and I am astonished to find in your issue of to-day that a judgment summons has been obtained against a Greymouth and a Christchurch shareholder for comparatively small amounts at a time when of £3850 of arrears the registrar on the 30th April showing over CIOOO as, being due from Mr W. It. Cook and his employer?, all ol whom apparently remain free. I think some explanation is duo from the directors—Messrs Wales, Martin, and Pearce.—-I am etc.A Lover of Justick.

“ P.3 —Upon how many shires in this Company have Messrs Cook and Gray received brokerage.
