SYDNEY FERRY STRIKE.

The ferry strike has ended. The firemen and deck hands came out to support the engineers. The traffic throughout yesterday and part of to day was greatly impeded. The residet ts of water-sirle stations, who were affected, appealed to the State Minister of Works, and some Government steamers were placed at the disposal of the public.
Lii U;W of to morrow’s functions the Minister was also negotiating for an emergency service. The Ferries’ Co. thereupon agreed to a conference with the Masters and Engineers’ Association, which was held this afternoon and resulted in all the demands of the Association being accepted. The company agreed to officially recognise the Association, and the working hours are to be 100 a fortnight, payment over that time to bo one shilling per hour.
Tiuo ferries will run as usual in the morn ing. '
