The San Francisco mail steamer Sierra has just been signalled at Auckland. The following arc the passengers by the steamer Haupiri which arrived in port this afternoon: —Misses Tough, Stuart, Burger, Spencer (2), Erickson, Algie ; Mesdames Fraser, Christie, Bell, Nathan, Woolff, Erickson; Messrs Driffin, Raithby, Southeran, Sergeant Reillcy, Lieutenant Bromley, Bowling, Bridgor, Bishop, Hunter, Drayton, Anderson, Brookman, Burger, Newsome, Sweetman, Ryder, Skiltod, Gilbert; and Grey Band.
A shareholder in the late Colonial Bank recently wrote to the liquidators, asking when the final dividend may be expected, and he has shown the Nelson “Colonist ’ the reply he has received, wherein it is stated that a little delay is occassioned, owing to the winding up of another estate in which the bank is interested, but that the liquidator expects to be able to apply to the Court in the course of a few weeks. In the meantime ha states that practically no expenses are going on.
