Gallant Defence by Border Scouts , Received this day, at 9 a.m.

A London, May 20. hundred Boers attacked twenty Border scouts in a narrow pass near Kenhart. They approached to within a hundred yards. The fight lasted five hours. The Boers left fifteen killed and seventeen wounded, including FieldCornet Loim. One British was wounded. Six hundred men under Kruitzinger left Zuurherg on Friday riding southwards. Gornnge is pursuing.

Bundle captured Therons mill and a strong position near Fouriesberg. Private Wentworth of New South Wales Bushmen, died of enteric fever.
