BENEDICTS BALL AT NELSON GREEK.

The Benedicts Ball held in the local shoolroom on Friday last, proved to be one of the most enjoyable successes to be remembered. Considering the short nodes it was largly attended, fully fifty couples taking part in the opening Quadrille to the spirited music of Messrs Perotti (piano) and Seabrook (cornet) and who deserve special mention for their efforts, also somotextras played by Messrs James and Overton (Aharua) were much appreciated. The room was elaborately decorated and nothing was wanting to give the building a brilliant appearance. The floor was in excellent condition. The supper provided by Mr M’Gill (Aharua) was all that could be desired, Mr Thomas Jamieson acted as M.O. during the dancing. The whole affair reflects great credit on the Committee who were untiring in their work.
