Greymouth v. Hokitika.

The Hokitika team will he picked from the following players : —Rutland (Captain,) Macfarlane, Bonar, Lynch. M'Donald, Harding, Murray, Harvey, Furlong, Davidson, O. Hansen, Smith, O’Brien, Irwan, Knowles, Jones, Stewart, Wilson, Craze. The team journey to Greymouth tomorrow at noon and will be entertained by the Grey Club in tbc evening. There is every prospect of the game being played in a most friendly manner.

The New Zealand Rugby Union. Wellington, May 22. The New Realand Rugby Union met to-night. An application from the South Otago Union for admission was refused and they were recommended to join the Otago Union. Tho VVanganui-Taranaki rep. _ match referee trouble was finally dealt with and it was resolved not to re-open the matter. The M'Guirk-Portcous trouble was similarly disposed of. It resolved to reply to the Wanganui Union that the New Zealand Union has no power to abjudicate on the interpretation of local Union by-laws. Tho question whether it was an act of professionalism for one club to pay the back subscription owing by a player to another club was referred to the appeal Committee.

It was reported that an itinerary was being arranged for the New South Wales team. The new Appeal Committee consist Messrs Dixon (Auckland), A. C. Norris A. Campbell, G- C. Fache and G F. C. Campbell (all of Wellington.)
