APPRECIATION OF NEW ZEALANDERS.
The following is a a copy of a letter received by Colonel Robin from General lan Hamilton 62, Grosvenor Street, Jan, 30, 1901. Dear Sir,—l have received an emblematical card conveying to me the season’s greeting from the New Zealand Contingents serving in South Africa. This has touched me very much, and I feel I must write you a line to say how grateful I am. I have soldiered a long time now, but I never in my life met men I would sooner soldier with than the New Zealanders. I feel the greatest affecsion for them, and I shall never forget the work they did in South Africa. I think this is realised in England, if I may judge by the way any references to them are always received by the public.—Yours, sincerely, lAN HAMILTON.
