OUR RETURNED TROOPERS.
(To the Editor).
troopers having returned there is no doubt a spirit of gratitude and thankfulness will pervade the minds of all. At other places thanksgiving serhave been held by the various churches and christian friends. As yet no mention of this has been made for Greymouth. Could it not be arranged that a general thanksgiving service be held in the Opera House at the close of the Church services on Sunday evening? A collection could be taken to defray expenses and the balance go towards the Martin Memorial Fund. This is as it should be, and the home coming of our boys should not be allowed to pass by without acknowledgement to Him who has so graciously heard the petition of many a fond mother and anxious heart. I trust this can be arranged by our Clergy.—Yours etc., Amiscus. [So far none from this district have returned except those invalided.—Ed. E.S.]
