Owing to Reid’s illness the Duke agreed to hold a meeting of the Privy Council at Sydney when Reid will be sworn in.
Darley Graham will he invested at Sydney. Mayor Connor of Toronto, cabled to the Mayor of Melbourne congratulations on the accomplishment of the Commonwealth. The Mayor replied, thanking and conveyed the gratification of Barton at the receipt of a sympathic message. Ho regarded the rejoicing of Canadian citizens as a fresh proof of sisterhood between the Dominion and the Commonwealth which do so much to increase the might of the Empire and pride race. The Royal party left by special train for Ballaret this morning and return tonight.
