GREENSTONE NOTES.
(Kumara Times).
We have had quite a flutter of excitement here over the successful clean up of the Junction Dredge and we feel satisfied that the promise for its future is quite assured. Homo parts of their claim was prospected years ago, and some of those who knew the results obtained then are now confident as to future results. The Greenstone pontoons are nearing completion and are about ready to float. This Company are having a dam constructed for that purpose. The contractors for this work are pushing it on as energetically as the late severe weather would permit, and another eight or ten days should see its completion. The Bun Tuck return is fairly good so far, but our people confidently look for better returns, as much of their claim is in well known country and likely to bear out the reputation it has acquired. Should all these dredges prove dividend payers there can bo no doubt as to the beneficial result to the community.
Sluicing is booming on the Terrace. Water is plentiful and full advantage is being taken of it.
