Wellington, This Day.

Government intends to erect wards in each of the larger centres for the treatment of people suffering from alcoholic excess. Until the Wards are built Government is asking the various hospital authorities to treat such cases, the colony to bear the whole expense. At a meeting of the hospital trust to-day it was decided to request the medical superintendent to arrange that all people suffering from drink be placed in a part of the hospital by themselves and be attended by male warders.
