SECONDARY EDUCATION GRATIS.
Major Fraoklyn is persevering with his proposal to make secondary education in Westport entirely free. At Wednesday’s meeting of the Education Board he gave notice to move at next meeting, “That, alter the 30th June of the present year, no fees be charged the scholars attending the secondary classes of the Westport District High School.” The Major has a complete knowledge of Education Board finances, and when bis motion comes to be debated, he may be relied upon to place before his colleagues sound reasons —financial and otherwise—for the adoption af his motion.
