Several farmers were sentenced at Colosburg to terms of from six to twelve months imprisonment for misleading 13riti.sk troops and not reporting the enemy.

The garrison at Zeerust w r as still being blockaded on April 29th.
The British captured a supply of fresh meat.
• In the House of Commons the Hon Mr Brodriek, in referring to General Colville’s recently published despatch dealing with the attack on Cronje s laager at Paardeberg, said that KellyKeuny commanded on March 18th last year, the date mentioned by Colville. Lord Kitchener was assisting KellyKenny to control the action. Mr Broderick also stated that owing to the prolongation of the war the' allowances to the wives of soldiers serving in South Africa was Is 3d per day.
