NOTES AND COMMENTS.
Thk completion of the GreymouthKumara road is again prominently before us, consequent upon the following reminder by the Kumara Times: We are looking forward to the time when the Kumara-Greymouth road will be open for traffic. The approach to the Railway Bridge from i' the Junction is nearing completion, . ■■■ but we find that several chains of road remain unfinished on the northern side of the Teremakau. We would remind our Greymouth neighbours, that a little more agitation is required to get the unfinished portion of this road made. Very little more money expended in this direction would open up one of the best roads in Westland, and one that would be used every day in the week by the travelling public. So far as agitation is concerned, folks at this end have been “ continually on the bark ” about the matter. Wo are now informed that the money is available at any moment the local body concerned likes to apply for it. If this is sc there is no reason why the work should be longer delayed.
